People have less to spend on what ever location sells,which is where the businesses make thier profits(living) Most locations are owned by big oil, who lease bldg.to private people business owners.They own and control the street price of gas. Commission is payed avg. 2cent per gallon. And the rent they collect is at least two or more times more than commision payed. So not only do they reap profits from their sales which are much more than wat they pay the dealer, they collect high rents, PURE PROFIT.While the high prices hurt sales,and small business owners and all consumers. when the price of gas go’s up it actually hurts, not only the consumer but the station -store -shop owner.
